A couple of poems  that Dad wrote about a Summer " Rain Storm" !! Hope you enjoy them!!
"Rain Storm"

It's nice to sit in where it's dry,
And watch a rain storm passing by.
To see the lightning crash and flash,
To hear the rain drops as they splash
Against the windows of the room,
Where you sit dry, as thunder booms.
Across the dark and distant sky,
As rolling clouds go skidding by.
And see the rain washed streets below,
Where figures dark, rush to and fro.
Shining with the glistening rain,
That beats against your window pane.
And then the moon comes peeking out,
Behind dark clouds, that's round about.
You hear the thunder, from afar,
And then you see a twinkling star.
You know the storm has passed on by,
For moon and stars are shining high.

"Tornado"

Tornado twisting in the sky,
Blowing every thing so high.
Twisting, turning, blowing wild,
Leaving wreckage sadly piled.
Leaving trouble, death and fear,
To all people living here.
Turning houses, plowing sod,
Showing us the Wrath of God.

Midi playing "Give Thanks"

Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks unto the Holy One,
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
(repeat 3 times)

And now let the weak say "I am strong",
Let the poor say "I am rich",
Because of what the Lord, has done for us
(repeat)

(repeat all once more)

Give Thanks!
Give Thanks!
Give Thanks!
"Summer Flood"

The rain from darken'd sky's pour down,
Upon our quiet little town.
To quickly flood the places low,
Until there's no place left to go.
Children swimming in the street,
Of this I've not seen the beat.
Ground so quickly covered over,
Where this morning ran a mower.
The rain has stopped, the water's down,
But what a mess it made of town!
