When Dad passed away in 1986, he had ten Grandchildren. Sam, Cammy, Shaun, Tim, Shannon, Jane, Ben, the twins, Corey and Carrie, and last, but not least, Matt. But, when He wrote this poem, He had only Five. Hope You will Enjoy This One!!!!
I thank God to be alive,
To see our wonderful Grandchildren five.
Mischievous Sam, with eye's of brown,
Going to school in our little town.
Dimpled Cam, with complexion fair,
Pretty green ribbon in her hair.
Tow headed Shaun,with twinkling eye's,
Wiry as any boy his size.
Sober Tim with not much to say,
Enjoying every moment of play.
Shannon the youngest, cute as can be,
Smiling and trying to talk to me.
Five Grandchildren for us to share,
Making our heartaches easy to bear.
I thank God to be alive,
To see our wonderful Grandchildren five.
