"He Is Risen"

He is Risen, was the answer,
On that cold Easter morn
So many, many years ago,
When Christ's New Church was born.
"He is Risen?" Mary questioned,
There the rock was rolled away.
And she heard the Angel answer
"He has gone to Galilee."

"He is Risen, go tell Peter
Go tell John and Thomas too.
Tell them all that He is Risen,
A new day is born to you."
He is Risen! He is Risen!
Praise the Lord, our God on High.
He was crucified and rose again,
For men like You And I !

"On A Hill"

On a hill far away, stands an Old Rugged Cross,
A symbol of suffering, but say!
We serve a God with power and love,
Praise His name, He is Risen today!

From the tomb He Arose, after death on the Cross,
Where He died so all men could be free.
How He must have Loved, as He made that long walk,
That long walk to the hill, Calvary.

Midi "Victory In Jesus"

Verse
I heard an old, old story, how a Saviour came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins and won the victory.

Chorus
O victory in Jesus, my Saviour, forever!
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

Verse
I heard about His healing, of His cleansing pow'r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory.

Verse
I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea,
About the angels singing and the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory!

Here is another good Easter poem that Dad wrote! This Midi "Victory In Jesus" was another of Mom's Favorites!
