Mom And Dad lived on the Old Ohio Canal that runs through Millersport , Ohio. Dad Loved to fish and boat on Buckeye Lake early in the mornings. Sometimes, Mom would go with Him, sometimes the  Grandkids, and He also Loved going by Himself!! Sometimes, Dad would even take Us!!! We all Loved to Fish and Still Do!!

"Fishing Joy"

An early morning fishing trip,
Upon the lake so still.
To see the fish splash round about,
To hear the lake birds trill.
To see the yellow sun come up,
In the golden, eastern sky.
To feel fresh breezes on your cheek,
As you go sailing by.
Then you know that peace is here,
It's up to man to find,
And he could find it fishing,
With cares all left behind.

"Morning On The Lake"

Early morning on a cool, blue lake
With the sun's rays on the water.
Cool morning breezes on your face,
As you give the boat the rudder.
Boat's racing down the lake,
Throwing sprays of silver'y dew.
Making waves, that tug and toss,
Your boat as they pass you.
Racing down the golden path,
The sun lays on the lake.
Racing onward toward the sun,
What glorious thrills it makes.
A day of boating, is well spent,
Enjoying nature's gift.
It raises spirits, O' so high,
And gives your soul a lift.

Lyrics To  "Beautiful Ohio"!!!

I sailed away;
Wandered afar;
Crossed the mighty restless sea;
Looked for where I ought to be.
Cities so grand, mountains above,
Led to this land I love.

Beautiful Ohio, where the golden grain
Dwarf the lovely flowers in the summer rain.
Cities rising high, silhouette the sky.
Freedom is supreme in this majestic land;
Mighty factories seem to hum in tune, so grand.
Beautiful Ohio, thy  wonders are in view,
Land where my dreams all come true!

Original Chorus as written by Ballard MacDonald

Drifting with the current down a moonlit stream
While above the Heavens in their glory gleam
And the stars on high
Twinkle in the sky
Seeming in a paradise of love divine
Dreaming of a pair of eyes that looked in mine
Beautiful Ohio, in dreams again I see
Visions of what used to be.
