"Did We" Lord, did we this day demand, More than we should, from fellow man. Did we reach out to do kind deeds, Did we the hungry, help to feed. Did we pass kind words, to a friend, Or to a stranger, kindness lend. A friendly pat, a word of cheer, A word of love, to some one dear. A word of hope, to some poor soul, Or help push one, toward their goal. If we did not, please God, forgive, We must do this, each day we live. E.H.Coe. 1973 |
